Crazy Bombay
By Gangadhar Gadgil
About The Book
Crazy Bombay brings together Gangadhar Gadgil’s English writings, along with a couple of translations from Marathi, largely around the multifaceted life of Bombayites. Some of these articles are autobiographical or pretend to be so. Gadgil has used humor to expose the hypocrisy and follies of the contemporary life, sometimes as an interesting way of narration, occasionally for its therapeutic value and often to be playful, whimsical, and boisterous or at times downright crazy and absurd.
“Crazy Bombay comes as a breath of fresh air and enables us to laugh at the numerous problems its citizens face.”------Times of India, Sunday Review
“A left-handed Salaam to Bombay, which cartoonist R.K.Laxman’s illustrations help make even more loveable and laughable”------The Hindustan Times
“Crazy Bombay is great fun.”------The Economic Times
